Donaghys Superbraid is a high performance yacht braid developed through exhaustive testing on super yachts. These include Jules Verne, The Race, Whitbread, Volvo Ocean Race, America’s Cup, IOR, IMS, IMR and Olympic yachts.
This development programme has seen subtle but significant changes to Superbraid, as fibre technology and manufacturing techniques improve.
Mainly designed for use on sailboats, Superbraid’s versatility and advantages over regular wire rope have seen a growth in its use across a broad range of applications.

Features
- The Light weight UHMwPE core with HT Polyester cover gives high strength with little stretch
- Anti-slip coating on the core stops core/cover slippage and protects the core if cover is removed
- Specially engineered using state of the art Mageba Thermofixation treatment
- This rope withstands shock loadings better than Aramids
- Easy to splice
