TESTING SERVICES
//  WE HAVE THE FACILITIES TO TEST A BOARD RANGE OF LIFTING AND RIGGING EUIPMENT

We can test a wide range of lifting and rigging equipment:

INSPECTION

Equipment is inspected according to
applicable Australian Standards.

REPAIR OR REPLACE

If possible, and safe, equipment is
repaired to save costs and downtime.

RECERTIFICATION

New Certificate or Repair Certificate
issued and registers updated.

MOBILE TESTING

Our mobile testing services, allow most of your lifting equipment to be tested on-site. This saves time and transportation costs, while your team benefits from knowing equipment is tested without leaving the site.

Test, repair or replace equipment on-site
   Low transportation costs
   Saves downtime
   Equipment stays on-site

PROOF LOAD TESTING

Proof-load testing verifies that components can withstand their design load without failure or excessive deformation. By applying a force above the working load limit (WLL) for a set time, we ensure that even the largest hooks, slings, and lifting beams are capable of withstanding the most demanding conditions.

HEIGHT SAFETY

Our team of engineers, consultants, and certified installers ensure systems are installed to meet manufacturer specifications and comply with Australian Standards. We also provide regular inspections, as required by Australian Standards, with all inspections conducted by our accredited service representatives.

LIFTING POINT / PAD EYE TESTING

Testing and certifying lifting eyes on machinery is essential for safe lifting operations. Liftquip offers on-site testing services to ensure your lifting equipment meets required safety standards. Our testing machine provides flexible load capacities for various pad eye shapes and mounting positions, designed for real-world conditions, it ensures maximum safety and reliability. Our on-site services minimise downtime, keeping your equipment operational and compliant with Australian standards.

Our mobile testing offering provides our customers with the flexibility of getting their assets tested on site or in house, another example of LiftQuip’s customer first approach.

LOAD / ANCHOR POINT TESTING

Ensuring the safety and reliability of anchor points is paramount for any operation involving lifting, restraining, or height safety.

We provide thorough anchor point testing services designed to meet and exceed Australian Standards. Our comprehensive testing ensures that your anchor points are not only compliant but also safe and reliable for use in critical applications.

Why Regular Anchor Point Testing is Essential

   Compliance with Standards
   Enhanced Safety
   Operational Reliability
   Preventative Maintenance

CALIBRATED TEST WEIGHTS

We prioritise safety in lifting equipment by providing comprehensive test weight testing services. This process verifies the performance of lifting gear by applying a known “test weight” to ensure it operates within its designed capacity and meets stringent safety standards. Test weight testing is essential for compliance with Australian Standards, which mandate regular testing to ensure equipment reliability. Our skilled professionals use advanced equipment to deliver accurate results.

WATER BAG TESTING

Liftquip offers water bag testing for a range of equipment and structures, providing a safe and economical alternative to traditional dead weights. Water bags allow for precise load testing by gradually applying weight, ideal for testing cranes, lifeboats, bridges, platforms, and more. Available in various sizes, water bags are easier to transport and can be connected for high-capacity tests.

MRT TESTING

Magnetic Rope Testing (MRT) detects defects and wear in steel wire ropes by magnetizing a rope section and measuring changes in the magnetic field caused by issues like broken wires, corrosion, and mechanical damage. MRT provides accurate assessments of wire ropes, which lose strength over time. It identifies hidden flaws that can’t be detected visually, helping prevent catastrophic failures by retiring ropes before they become unsafe.  Proper MRT inspections by certified professionals ensure both safety and compliance, protecting your employees and business from potential hazards.

NDT TESTING

Our Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) services help assess the integrity of your equipment without causing any damage. We offer testing for routine inspections, pre-purchase assessments, and post-repair evaluations, tailored to your needs. NDT methods, including ultrasonic, radiographic, magnetic particle, and dye penetrant testing, detect defects or weaknesses that may affect safety and performance. These tests ensure your equipment complies with Australian Standards and operates safely. Our qualified professionals use the latest technologies to provide accurate results and reports.

Our mobile testing fleet is fully equipped to test, repair, and re-certify your equipment on site.

LOAD CELL TESTING

Our team brings advanced load cell systems to ensure your equipment meets safety standards, reducing the risk of injury from equipment failure. Regular inspections and accurate load measurement are key to maintaining a safe working environment. We use precise load cells with strain gauges to ensure reliable and accurate readings, keeping your lifting operations safe and compliant with regulations.

DYNAMIC TESTING

Our dynamic testing service ensures your lifting equipment meets Australian Standards, which covers the design, construction, and testing of lifting devices for safety. Dynamic testing simulates real-world conditions by applying variable loads to equipment in operation, unlike static testing, which only uses constant loads. This helps identify weaknesses that may not show up in static tests.

Our dynamic testing includes:

   Load Assessment
   Reverse Engineering and Analysis
   Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)

REVERSE ENGINEERING TESTING

Our reverse engineering service helps assess and validate fabricated lifting assets, especially when original designs and documents are unavailable. This service bridges the gap between older equipment and modern safety standards, ensuring compliance with Australian Standards. Reverse engineering involves analyzing an existing asset to determine its design, materials, and capabilities. This helps us compare your equipment against AS 4991 requirements, ensuring it meets or exceeds safety and performance standards. It also provides a clear understanding of the asset’s condition and identifies areas needing improvement.
