Minimum Breaking Force (MBF) – MBF is the minimum load or force, specified by the manufacturer, at which the wire rope will break. This is the figure which should be used when choosing the right wire rope for your application
Working Load Limit (WLL) – The WLL is the load that a wire rope can carry on a particular application. The WLL should be based on the MBL, not the actual breaking force. AS1666 specifies the design factors for wire ropes used in wire rope slings
Tensile Strength – Wire Ropes are commonly supplied in tensile strength ranges of between 1570MPa and 2160MPa. The higher the tensile strength the higher the breaking strength of the wire rope.
